The "Ready For Success" workshop/job fair will take place at the county's new Early College and Career Center (Ec3) on June 3rd and 4th this summer. The event will begin on June 3rd leading into June 4th with workshop sessions that each participant must complete along with keynote speaker presentations. The workshop topics include: Interviewing, Resume Writing, Entrepreneurship, Covey's 7 Habits of Success, College Information session, Financial Aid/FAFSA, Job Corps information session, Military and Scholarship Opportunities.
The event this summer will allow businesses to showcase their services and create partnerships with other businesses, while giving the students of Hardin County an opportunity to demonstrate the skills they can bring to the workplace.
The "Ready For Success" event will be limited to 150 students from Hardin County Schools as well as Fort Knox Community Schools selected by an application process which includes a written letter of interest as well as a recommendation from an administrator, counselor or teacher. At the conclusion of the keynote presentations on the afternoon of June 4th, students will be able to circulate around visiting the local and regional businesses, collecting information about their company as well as participating in on-the-spot interviews in our designated interview rooms. Local businesses will also be able to offer mentorships and internships to qualified students giving them an opportunity to learn more about a field of interest and for businesses to also learn more about potential employees.
